Christmas time is coming!
I can't believe Christmas is so near! The Christmas tutu orders have started coming in, and it is so great! I love knowing that so many little girls will be smiling when they open their new tutus under the tree. My girls got to help pack boxes at church tonight to send to children who may not be getting anything for the Holidays. They were so proud that they got to be a part of something so special. Mommy was proud of them too!

I love it!
I was just thinking today about how far I've come over the last year. I'm loving my little Etsy adventure. It brings something new and exciting every day. I love making tutus! I feel blessed.

Wow! I haven't blogged in quite some time. I just had to get back into it because I am sooooo excited about my new "Simply" series of tutus. They will be shorter, poufier, and more affordable. They will still be made from the same high-quality nylon diamond net tulle, and they will still be sewn, not tied.
Here's a simple lime green tutu. The photo shows a tutu that is a bit longer than the ones in the Simply series. I hope to update soon with a pic that shows the shorter tutu. Happy Friday, all!

My wonderful husband!
Since I have a torn muscle in my side, my wonderful husband has been kind enough to do some housekeeping today! He did the dishes and even cleaned all the counters! Then...sit down ladies...he MOPPED the floor! The secret is out. He really CAN clean. He's in trouble now! Just kidding, of course. He knows I have to stay away from housework if my side is going to heal. He wants me to get better. I think it's even more important to him than ever, now that he knows what it's like to clean the kitchen! :-)
The girls want mommy to get better too. I keep telling my 3-yr-old that I can't pick her up. I try explaining it to her, but I know it's hard for a little one to grasp the idea that mommy can't lift her little darlings.
My wonderful husband has also been cutting my tulle strips for my tutus. He's developed an invention to make it easier (go hubby!), and he's good at it! Thank God for my husband!

Catching up
I've been trying to catch up my orders in hopes of coming up with a new design for a tutu gown. I'm anxious to see how it turns out, as I have a few great ideas!

Making tutus is my passion!
Welcome to my new blog! I design and create custom boutique tutus and tutu dresses for infants, toddlers, and little girls. They are perfect for birthdays, pageants, dance recitals, special photo sessions, dress-up, weddings, and more! I create the tutus in my smoke-free home studio. Lots of work goes into each one. Each tutu has yards and yards of soft, high-quality tulle. All pieces are cut by hand and then sewn (not tied, so no twisting) on to a wide elastic waistband. A boutique label is sewn into every tutu. Every little girl should have at least one tutu!
